| Hi, my name is Jess and my toon is Hakutaku. I'm an American living in Japan. Although I've been playing WOW since the beta stress test I dont have many high level toons. My friends keep changing servers on me. Plus when I moved to Japan the timezone gap was killing me. Huray for Oceanic servers!! Anyway, I'll stop here before I ramble too much. See you in game. | |

| I got a job teaching English through the embassy. The job program is called J.E.T. (Japan Exchange Teaching). I teach in the junior high schools and sometimes elementary. Its a great job, but the 'teaching English' part is a bit of a joke most of the time. The school system really isn't set up to teach languages very well. I love my job anyway. Living in Japan can be a bit strange at times. Its not like in Anime where everything is all shiny, high tech, and glam. In fact most of my friends and co-workers are pretty computer illiterate. I love living here because the people can be really nice, but some things kinda suck. Heating and air-conditioning is my favorite gripe. Pretty much every house/apartment is uninsulated and poorly heated/air-conditioned. Plus the school rooms have NO heating/air-conditioning. Enough griping from me. Good parts of Japan are excellent public transport, good food, odd-ball TV, public health care (coming from the US this is a big deal), and many more. I think that covers the basics. If you have any more questions or just want to hear more I can post more later. I'm currently staying up way too late and need to get to sleep. | |

| Yeah, I wouldn't be able to live in a country without robust public health care, the idea of having no safety net scares the hell out of me. How long have you been teaching english? Loving your avatar btw | |

| I'd love to try the food some day . It's somewhat of a surprise to hear that heating/air conditioning isn't up to standard, just not something you would expect . I have heard that the health care system is excellent though. Good to have you on the forums | |

| I started teaching English when I came to Japan. In the US I got my degree in Art Education, but being an Art Teacher kinda sucked. I'm in the middle of my 3rd year of teaching in Japan. I've got another 2 years available at my current job and then I need to figure out what the heck I'm going to do next. Gotta love LFG avatars | |
