| Just thought I'd get the ball rolling here, what is your favorite/least favorite class? This can be playing, playing with, playing against, or if you just hate the look of them. My favorite class is easily the lock.I've tried all of the classes, but I always go back to locks when I ask myself one of two questions: "Why is my health going down?" and "What the hell? Why isn't life tap working?!" Least Favorite would have to be hunters. No offence against the hunters in the guild, I haven't had a single reason so far to dislike you guys, but the amount of times I've seen the words "hunter gear" followed by a need roll on a cloth item have made me a little bit prejudiced against you guys ' ' What about the rest of you lads? | |

| Up to date, I got to say I like the usefulness of Druids in every situation. Especially when I go faster theneverywalking person while being a cat ^_^.
LEast favorite fromwhat I player (Rogue, Pally, Druid, Mage and started a lock) would be the mage. After playing a druid and being melee often, I hate depending on the mana bar.
I might hate priestscause I can't see myself playing one and beign happy (no offense Cochis).
Meh, I'd like to get the Lock and rogue rolling on soon.
(Thanks god that is over)

| Ah sadly what Dis says is true The sheer number of incompetent hunters out there is really disheartening. Due to this both my favorite and least favorite class would have to be the hunter. Basically I love to play as the hunter, but despise playing alongside the hunter. Lock is a close second for me and I'd have to say the paladin is my least favorite class. | |

| Locks all the way, love the reduced down time with dot's and pets.
least favorite..... im gonna go rogues, not to play, but because iv run into a whole bunch of completely retarded rogues who are either a) complete ninjas or b) completely incompetent at using stealth, i mean whats the point having stealth if ur gonna WALK RIGHT IN FRONT OF 3 MOBS! anyway, thats that.

lol I think this is pretty much directed at me since I'm the only hunter in the guild =D. Nice to know you still care dis . I can't speak for the countless incompetent hunters out there who have dragged the classes reputation through the mud, but I can say that I personally have never been a ninja, nor have I used the idiotic phrase "hunter gear" on something like cloth healing gear. Don't think there are many people out there who hate the hunter class more than I do. There's nothing worse than seeing people make something so good look so bad. Not trying to change anyones mind but I'll try my best to be the exception when it comes to hunters =D

| I must love pain because Druids are my current fave. 2v2 arena complaining asside we are one of the most broken classes in game. I love how Druids play but its pretty obvious that Blizz has no clue what to do with them. Best way to see this is Feral AP. Talk about a convoluted way to semi-fix a problem that could be fixed really easily (our weapon = attack speed and damage + procs). As a bonus, if your feral, we are the only 100% stat based damage/tanking class. You could give me a stick doing 0-1 damage, but with gobs of Agility, Stamina, and Strength (a little Int wouldnt hurt either) and I would be a happy happy Druid.
Other favorites (keep in mind I seem to like the broken ones): Priests and Mages. Priests = the clothie heal class that doesnt heal as well as the hybrids or Dps as good as the DPSers. Not to mention Priest tallent tree problems. Mages = the glass cannon that is really a lot of glass and a little cannon.
Warriors are a lot of fun to play as long as you keep them well geared. I always can tell when my gear is getting old cauze it takes forever to kill things.
The first toon I always roll on a new server is always a lock or a hunter. They probably wont be my main, but they are the best solo speed leveling classes. This means I can get lots of loot and set up whatever class will be my real main. My main complaints about hunters is they can be a bit boring to play and there are a lot of huntards out there dragging the class down. My normal spell rotation on non-elite mobs is; hunters mark, send in pet, arcane shot, auto shot, arcane shot, etc till dead. If they run at or away from me then concussion. I generally dont bother with poisons because the mobs die before the duration runs out with or without the poison and dont need to use my other skills because the pet tanks everything pretty well. Not to mention Hunter on Hunter duels. Its basically a gear and spec test. Blow all your damage and damage mitigation cooldowns, freeze the pet, stand in one place and dish damage until dead. Only time this changes is when you run up against crazy survival hunts or hunts that are too stupid to use their bow.
My first toon was a Shaman. I got tired of playing him because no matter my spec or gear I burned through my mana too fast. I think I spent as much time drinking as I did killing stuff.
Rogues = too much micro-management and twitchy play style.
I saved the most anoying for last. Paladins. Its so anoying that they dont have any ranged attacks. Plus leveling is generally slow. Good points are AOE tanking and free mounts.

| *shrug* Cochis is welcome to dig in, but I have played the class alot and thought about its problems. Not to mention that the Priest class is still my second favorite class to play. So, I'm talking from personal experience.
Priests have 1 excellent dps tree that doesn't integrate with the other talent trees all that well, has mana efficiency problems, agro problems, and a very limited spell selecion. Plus priests have the only spell that hurts you unless you kill what you attack with it. Then you have Disc/Holy. Blizzard seems to have thought, "Well we gave them a good dps tree. What are we going to do with the other two? I know lol-well and lots of AOE heals!" If you look at the numbers, Priests are the only class where the majority of people that spec in a tree don't take the 32 point tallent (lol-well).
Now lets talk about heals. I've talked to a lot of high end healers about Priest vs. other class healing and done a lot of Priest instance healing myself. Priests do have good heals and can do all the different kinds of heals (which other classes cant do. EX. hot, flash heal, big heal, etc..) plus several AOE heals and a jumping heal. So priests do have a big arsenal of heals available. They just aren't as efficient as other classes heals and Priests don't bring as much buffing power to a raid.
Examples: Pallies bring tons of different blessings plus can spam their heals till the cows come home. Druids are the HOT kings (not great at burst damage but excellent for everything else), have a good buff, tree form, and have battle res. Shamans bring tons of totems plus good mana efficent heals and chain heal. Priests real claim to fame are AOE heals which at best are used occasionally and one or two buffs (that are very nice but limited). So a lot of high end raiders (notice I didnt say all) only bring one holy priest for the raid to provide Fort buff and Spirit buff. They fill all the other heal spots with hybrid classes. Oh and priests don't/cant get an instant heal. They do have shield, but its really mana in-efficient and doesn't last long. Other classes have stuff like Lay on Hands, Natures Swiftness, and Swiftmend.
Now don't get me wrong. Im not saying Priests should be such awe inspiring healers as to grab all the raid healing spots like they used to. But it would be nice, as the Blizzard described 'healing class', to have comparable mana-efficency and healing power to the other hybrid healing classes.

| Hmm a very Interesting point Haku. It's good to see someone with such experience in multiple classes in the guild. I am inclined to agree that the hybrid healers are often more useful than priest itself. Swiftmend alone is enough to break an arena match and then there's those damn healadins, man how I hate those predictable... (I'm thinking some hurtful things here). They are annoying to even look at. You already know what's going to happen before you duel them! I usually start be beating the crap out of them, they often don't even land a hit on me as a hunter. Once there HP is down you will definitely see that lame and infuriating bubble come up followed by some sort of healing. After the bubble goes down you then proceed to rip them to shreds again with a new found hatred. Tell me wouldn't it be easier to have just let yourself die the first time instead of wasting all that effort? OK a little off topic I guess but still annoying as they are they make great healers. | |
